Christmas at Colborne Lodge is happening until Friday, January 6. Warm up by the hearth at Colborne Lodge and take in the sights and aromas of a Victorian Christmas. Adults $7.08, Seniors/Youths $4.42, Children $4.25 (+ tax). Tuesdays to Sundays, noon to 4pm, December 24 and 31, noon to 3pm. Closed Mondays and January 1.

Wednesday, December 28

Learn how to make a Kusudama Flower Ball at Runnymede Library‘s origami afternoon. Ages 6 to 12. 2 to 3pm.

Kids 4 and up can come to Jane/Dundas library for Lego Fun! Bring your friends and complete a variety of different Lego challenges. 2 to 3pm.

Collective Arts presents Whitebrow & Combo Royale Reunited at Junction City Music Hall. $10, 8pm.

Friday, December 30

Drop in with your friends and play a variety of board and video games on Gaming Friday at Jane/Dundas library. 2 to 3pm.

Saturday, December 31

Children ages 3 and up (with caregiver) can celebrate New Year’s at Noon at Jane/Dundas library.

Pray for peace and happiness in 2017, the Year of the Rooster, at Tao Sangha’s New Year’s Eve Nembutsu. Any time from 6pm to midnight, drop in for Nembutsu Chanting and traditional Japanese soba noodles and tea. By donation.

Celebrate New Year’s Eve at a Deejay Dance Party at Royal Canadian Legion at the (3591 Dundas St. W.). Hors d’oeuvre stations, complimentary bubbly and party favours. $25 per person in advance, or $35 at the door. 19+. 7pm to 1:30am. For more info call 416-760-9190.

Junction Art Crossing hosts a New Years With Multiple Beers. Dress up for NYE and have fun with a DJ, musicians, a photo booth, and unlimited beer and wine. Directions to the secret loft will be revealed upon ticket purchase. 9pm to 2am.

It’s time to say goodbye to 2016 in style and leave it all on the dance floor! The Dreamboats will help you ring in the New Year at Junction City Music Hall. $20 in advance, $30 at the door.

Wednesday, January 4

Play some Holiday Bingo at Runnymede Library and win some prizes. For kids 6 to 12. 2 to 3pm.

Enjoy at Winter Break Film at Jane/Dundas Library with the whole family. Polar Express (rated G), plays from 2 to 4pm.

A traditional Japanese way to welcome the New Year, Kakizome is the art of writing auspicious words on calligraphy paper with brush and ink. Tao Sangha hosts a workshop, including full instructions. $10/person. 3 to 5pm. Register in advance.

Start 2017 with success by clearing your internal blockages at the Hypno Healing Institute’s workshop New Year’s Resolutions: Change Your Mind, Change Your Life. $25 in advance, $35 at the door. 6:30 to 9pm.

Friday, January 6

Jane/Dundas Library hosts a special STEM-inspired interactive story time for children 3 – 5 with caregiver. Mini Scientists takes place from 2 to 3pm.
